We currently ship smaller items out every business day, usually via UPS, USPS, FedEx, or DHL (international orders). Items are not pre-packed and therefore packing and shipping may be delayed. We aim to pack and ship your order within 3 business days or less. Items are typically delivered within the Contiguous United States within 5 to 10 days of the purchase date. Shipping charges are dependent on size, weight, value and packaging. Only pieces that can be safely packed in a box are eligible.
When shipping most larger items (furniture, larger lighting, and art), we utilize specialized third party shipping providers. Our shipping providers will handle any needed wrapping and/or packaging and all items are insured for the full sale price against damage that occurs during the shipping process. Shipping providers will deliver items to curbside. In the Contiguous United States local deliveries typically take 7-10 days, and longer distance deliveries typically take about 3-6 weeks. In rare cases delivery can take up to 8 weeks. This typically happens when the shipping address is located in smaller or more remote markets. When shipping rates are available they will be applied at checkout. For large items that may require a custom shipping quote, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be provided a quote and if you choose to proceed an invoice will be sent. Items will not be shipped until purchase and shipping is paid in full.
Following a purchase our customers will receive an email confirming the carrier/shipping provider name and tracking number.
In rare cases, additional charges may apply. This includes, but is not limited to, delivery locations that are not accessible by road, require a ferry ride, and/or for items that require special handling or equipment to complete delivery. We will contact you promptly should this issue arise.
Where practical edgebrookhouse will do its best to utilize 'green' packaging. Regardless of specific packing material we will carefully and thoughtfully package your item(s). Please note that you may receive your item(s) packed in recycled shipping cartons or materials.
If you are interested in local pickup of an item or managing your own shipping, please contact us. Once the invoice is paid, you can arrange for pickup or an alternate shipping method. Please be aware that if you choose to manage your own shipping you will be responsible for any packing and/or crating required to safely ship your purchase. Once you've coordinated shipping you can reach out to us to schedule a pickup date and time. Your purchase will be unpackaged and as is, and the sale will be considered final upon pickup. Any damage or loss will be your responsibility. Pickup would take place at our warehouse in Rockford, Illinois, US and items would need to be picked up within 10 business days. For rush orders or expedited shipping please contact us directly. Please be advised that expedited or express shipping is extremely expensive and costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
When shipping internationally, items are delivered duty unpaid (DDU) - this means that all applicable import costs such as duties, clearing fees and taxes are the responsibility of the customer. By ordering with us you understand that you may be subject to these additional charges. If you're unsure what additional import costs may be we suggest you contact your your appropriate government agency or local post office.
